CALCUTTA – Beaver Local defeated Brooke on Tuesday night, 21-25, 25-21, 25-22, 25-19.

Brooke Talbot had nine assists, nine assists and 15 digs. Grace Hill added six kills and four blocks. Elizabeth Kolkowski provided six kills, five digs and five blocks for the Beavers.

Kodi Kinsey had 19 digs, Leah Riccardo added four kills and a dozen digs. Bailey Bowersock had 10 digs and three kills for Beaver. Emma Joseph also had 24 assists, nine digs and three aces. Briar Wolski had three eliminations.

Beaver Local JV won, 25-22, 25-11. For the Beavers, Shaylon Mackall had four kills, five aces and seven assists. Madison Lowe had 10 digs and 3 wins.

The Beavers will play Indian Creek Thursday with the JV starting at 5:30 p.m.

Wellsville 3, Leetonia 0

WELLSVILLE – The Wellsville volleyball team retired Leetonia 25-12, 25-15, 25-14 on Tuesday in the Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference game.

Wellsville is 14-0, 10-0 in the EOAC. The Tigers have a two-game lead over second-placed Columbiana with four games to go.

Alana Amato had 10 kills and two aces for the Eagles. Presley Stokes had five kills, five aces and one block. Paige Green had eight assists and one kill. Emily McNicol added seven assists, five aces and three kills. Aubrey Ramsey had 10 digs and two aces. Brooke Hackney had two kills while Gia Pucci had three aces.

Wellsville is in Southern Thursday.

Eastern Palestine 3, Lisbon 1

EASTERN PALESTINE – Eastern Palestine escaped defeat in the opening set and took a victory over Lisbon on Tuesday 22-25, 25-16, 25-20, 25-16.

For the Bulldogs (9-5), Mia Lee had 14 points, 14 digs and 19 kills. Sophia Foster added 13 points, 16 kills and 19 digs.

Gia Brestelli registered nine points and 18 recoveries. This Foster had 21 assists, 12 points and two aces. Mackenzie Parker added 21 assists and three points to the winners.

Eliza Baker had nine points, 10 kills and 16 digs for the Blue Devils.

McKenna Dailey added eight points and 14 digs and Cami Freeland had 15 kills for Lisbon.

In JV action, the Bulldogs won, 25-10, 25-20. Taylor Foster had 16 points and teammate Sidni Boyer added six points for the Bulldogs.

Eastern Palestine is visiting Mooney today. Meanwhile, the Blue Devils (4-10) visit Heartland.

Columbiana 3, South 2

SALINEVILLE – Columbiana consolidated second in the Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference with a 19-25, 25-19, 25-21, 15-25, 15-13 victory over Southern on Tuesday.

For the Clippers (12-3, 9-2), Tori Long collected 29 digs, 13 points, nine kills and two aces. Julia Rapp added 16 kills, 12 points, four digs, two blocks and an ace.

Ava Heinrich recorded 13 digs, 11 points, eight kills and three aces. Cameron Perkins came in with 13 digs, 15 assists, four points, four kills and an ace.

Also for Columbiana, Tomi Ross had 15 digs, 13 assists, five points and an ace.

Liv Cmil added 24 digs for the Clippers.

Southern fell to 10-4 and 7-3 in the league and will host first-place Wellsville on Thursday.

For the Indians, Adrianna Gilliam had 29 points and seven aces. Ashley Shroades had 10 points and 22 kills. Roni Mayfield had 40 assists. Kya McCulley has successfully completed 24 searches. Rylee Mellott had 40 assists.

Southern won the match jayvee, 25-12, 25-18. South is 10-2. Kennedy Lewis had four wins.

Alaina Johnston had four assists, two digs and a win for the Clippers. Teammate Maryn Hepler added four kills and three assists.

Columbiana welcomes Lisbon on Thursday for its Dig Pink Game.
