The report of a committee formed to hear the appeal of the banned Tehreek-i-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) group will be presented to the federal cabinet on Tuesday, July 13.

The cabinet session was called by Prime Minister Imran.

Speaking to a press conference on Monday, Home Secretary Sheikh Rashid Ahmed informed that a summary had been proposed regarding the decision on Tehreek-i-Labaik Pakistan (TLP) which will be discussed at the meeting. of the federal cabinet of tomorrow.

The panel has heard arguments from counsel representing TLP and will now submit its recommendations.

The government banned the TLP in April this year following its call for a protest calling on the government to degrade its ties with France and to expel the French ambassador over the issue of publishing blasphemous material. Its workers clashed with the police, took 11 police officers hostage, 580 police officers were injured in the clashes and destroyed at least 30 cars.

Sheikh Rashid said it is now confirmed that Indian intelligence agency RAW orchestrated the explosion in Johar Town, adding that it is now established that the mastermind behind the Lahore tragedy has ties to the Indian agency. . He congratulated the security agencies for exposing the elements involved in the incident.

Other items on the agenda include the approval of names for the positions of vice president and governing body of Iqbal Academy Pakistan (IAP), maximum retail prices of drugs, appointment of the general manager (CEO ) of Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO), the appointment of the Managing Director of National Engineering Services Pakistan (NESPAK) and the three-month term extension and CEO of the Pakistan Railway Freight Transportation Company.
