Real Madrid wins the Champions League final against Liverpool: summary, goals, games…

What the coaches said: Jürgen Klopp, Liverpool

Concerns about the state of the pitch hastily laid at the Stade de France:

“You can see the lines where they put the different pieces of the pitch; this is obviously not what we are all used to. But, again, that’s not a problem because the good news is that both teams are playing on this ground. That anyone thought it was a good idea to bring the pitch the day before the game into the stadium, it’s an interesting idea, to be honest. It didn’t kill my mood one percent. I’m really glad we’re here. Now we are here playing the game and that’s it. As long as both teams have the same circumstances, that’s fine with me. »

Liverpool’s tactical approach to the final:

“If I now do something surprising for my players, for example, they might think I’m nervous; if I now pull a rabbit out of the hat and that sort of thing. I believe that when you do the right thing all the time, it’s also the right thing to do in the final. But, it must be at the highest level possible. We’ve obviously played some really, really good stuff this season, we’re not here by surprise or we got a ticket or something – we deserved it too. So to be us at the highest level would be cool. If we could do that then, like I said, we’re a really uncomfortable opponent. A really uncomfortable opponent. That’s what we have to be.

Salah wants revenge after 2018 final:

“It’s normal that he wants to fix things. We want to fix things. We haven’t forgotten what happened that time it’s just a while ago and we can’t come here and tomorrow I show the movie of this game and that’s enough motivation for the game makes no sense. We have so many reasons that we give absolutely everything tomorrow night and that could be a reason but not the raison.”
