As head coach Danielle SpencerThe first full season of The Farm, Stanford finished with the best winning percentage in school history (.916). The Cardinal won the Pac-12 regular season and tournament title the same year for the first time in program history.

Stanford (11-1, 7-0 Pac-12) finished an unbeaten regular season at 9-0 and had the best start to the season (11-0) in program history. The Cardinal won his first regular-season Pac-12 title since the league’s inception in 2018, and all 15 in the programe regular season crown overall. Stanford finished the season 16th in the IWLCA Coaching Survey.

Led by Pac-12 Forward of the Year Ali Baiocco, Stanford had six players who won all-conference honors in 2021. Baiocco, Kyra Pelton and Mikaela watson, while Jacie Lemos, Galen Lew and Genesis Lucero won second team accolades.

The Cardinal hosted the 2021 Pac-12 tournament at Stanford Stadium. The No.1 seed Stanford defeated Arizona State in the semi-finals and Colorado in the final to win his second Pac-12 tournament championship and his 18e title of the conference tournament overall. Baiocco was named MVP of the tournament and was joined in the tournament’s overall squad by Lew, Watson and the sophomore goalie Kara rahaim.

One of three undefeated teams heading into the playoffs, Stanford traveled to Evanston, Illinois for their 10e Appearance of the NCAA. The Cardinal fell to Denver in the tournament’s opening round at Northwestern. In his 27e year as a program, Stanford has competed in the NCAA tournament for nine of the past 12 seasons.

After the season, Baiocco won the IWLCA All-Region first team recognition, while Lew, Pelton and Watson took second team honors. Baiocco became the 11e Cardinal player, and first since 2018, to be named IWLCA All-American (second team).

Baiocco led the Pac-12 and was second in the country with 6.25 points per game. The Harding, New Jersey native also led the league and placed 10th nationally with 4.17 goals per game and was third in the conference with 2.08 assists per game. She has scored four game-winning goals this season and scored eight goals twice in one game in 2021 – a school record.

Two-time Pac-12 offensive player of the week in 2021, Baiocco was among the top 25 contenders for the Tewaaraton award. She ranks second in program history for points (238) and goals (167) and third for career assists (71).

In early July, five seniors announced they would be returning to The Farm for a fifth year in 2022 – Baiocco, Lew, Katherine gjertsen, Trudie grattan and Alex Tsai.
